erm,

well, i decided to resurrect my SEGA recently, and along with that, came some scouring the net for spares.. i need a few bits and bobs.

if anyone here has a SEGA master system 2, or bits and pieces for one they dont want (that are in working order) let me know, i may be interested.

eitherway, in my searches i came across this:
http://video.google.com.au/videoplay?docid=7783366196223400692&q=sega

and rofl'd all the way home, it truly made my day

its evedance that DDR and the PS2 Eye Toy were NOT the first interactive gaming experience requiring you to move your body.. though, they may have been the msot viable.

at the moment im sitting on:

a Sheen < you wont find any info on these on the net, but have possibly seen one, its basically Pong.. in 4 different flavours.. hand ball / tennis / soccer and something else.. it has 2 permanently attatched controllers.. and a flip switch to change games..

Atari XE - these were one of the last ones ever released (1989 i think).. its a great system, with some awesome games... yet to pull it back out as part of current project to see if it still runs, and whats needed for it, just an AV cable should do the job i think. i have a light gun for this aswell, and a couple of great games, dont really remember the names of them all, will do up a complete list this weekend.

Sega Mega drive 2 > recently discovered the power connecter is slightly faulty, so i need a new console Sad

PS 1 - Original - but i have an Action Replay cartridge that goes into the rear expansion slot, to allow "backups" to be played, it also supplies a large library of cheats

PS2 - not chipped

and my computer, capable of playing many retro games from 90s...

i refer you here for all of your retro pc gaming needs:

heh...

thats a lot of exercise.. as for the activator, ive seen a few up for grabs, going fo around $25 each, which aint bad considering what it is.. and one of those even had a box !!

in the mean time, i made a trip to cash converters last night, and picked up:
1 third party controller (with turbo buttons and all that crap that dont do jack on it)
Prince of Persia - $5.95
Shinobi 3 - $3.95

seems expensive for old games, wouldnt expect to pay more than 50c a piece.. however, those two games there are going fo $43 total on ebay at the moment.. so it was a good investment.
