I want to add a LED to somewhere on this chip thats inside a mouse

Can anyone tell where i should solder the ends?

have you got multimeter?
2. you dont solder to the chip , that would be bad you have to find the cable that comes from the computer set the multimeter to read <20v and lower find the 2pins that should read 5v you have to also identify which one is + and - (+ is red,positive and - is black,negative )

Once you have found them read this

Leds are Polarised meaning they Have to be on the right + and - or they will not work

and solder
just plug in soldering iron wait till its nice and hot , try and burn that hp pc you have then touch place where you want to solder with iron then touch the solder on the soldering irons head and it will melt to the place you are soldering

if you want ill do it at the next lan

and if you do it at the next LAN that would be hugly appericated

It's better if you use the end of your solder to check if the tip is hot enough, otherwise you'll actually cool the tip off too much in the process.
