(cookies or caffeinated goods may be given instead if cake is un-availible at such short notice... then again, if it takes you more then 3 days to bake a cake, you seriously do have something wrong. hell, go buy one for all i care... did i mention this should be chocolate?)

its all HPs fault.. and some other sys admin in north america.

ya see, he was looking at a PC mag, and there was a sysadmin, and a long line of people with gifts/cards etc giving them to the sys admin for buying HP lj 4000 printers.

he said to his mates (something along the lines of)



and decided that the last friday in july would be sys admin day. i mean, they have a secretaries day.

yer, i rebuilt the server after it crashed, where's my thanks? i setup the proxy server where's my thanks, they only notice the obvious things e.g. printer, computer (don't ever swap a computer box) they never know the difference, swap the monitor and they have a brand new machine!
