well after hearing how beautiful Tasmaniais, have decided to load the motorbike up and head over. Gonna be a little saddle sore as I'm heading from Perth WA. Looking at tootling around and checking out all the nook and crannies over 3 months whilst I do a boat building coarse in Franklin. Any tips on places off the beaten tracks, be it out yonder in the hills, or tucked away in a pub grabbing a cold would be most appreciated! Have a cracker of day now!

Go for a gander online.. there is a group of guys that wrote a book, they spent a night in pretty much every pub tasmania has to offer (thats at LEAST 1 for every day of the beach)

Take the trip up the mid lands one day at the very least.. there are a few nice places in launceston that are good for a visit, take a tour around huonville.

it depends if your in it for the ride.. or the destination at the end.
