Hi,
I currently reside in Perth, WA & planning on moving to Hobart next year. I will be working at Royal Hobart Hospital (hopefully) & just want to know how far Glenorchy & Claremont is from Hobart?
What suburbs are nice areas to live in? Would be really really helpful if you are able to give me as many suggestions/advice on anything tasmanian =]
Thank you.

Glenorchy is about 10mins from Hobart. Driving by car or busing.

Claremont is an extra 5mins from Glenorchy

I personally don't live in Claremont and Glenorchy however it looks a not too bad place to live, about a 7 out of 10 from looking at and price of houses. There's some places where I don't recommend and their not one of them.

Brighton is a fairly new suburb building up, i recommend here!! as I live in the area. Great neighbours Very Happy 9/10

Sandy Bay, Battery Point and places around that area are very expensive houses, close to Hobart, excellent area, water views. 9/10

Kingston/Blackmans bay is another place I actually like, its about 15-20mins from Hobart. 9/10

That's my 2 cents worth I'm sure others have their own opinon or live in areas near Royal Hobart Hospital.

You forgot to mention Old beach, its about 15 minutes from Glenorchy, probably 20 minutes from hobart.
Nice area with lots of new homes being built at the moment, and a couple of nice places up for sale.

i give Brighton a 8/10
Glenorchy is ok has quite a good range of things to do i give it a 7/10

old beach seems quiet and nice plus a lot of homes being built there
