HDD problems

hey i got to HDDs but i can only have 1 in coz then the other 1 wipes its self

i have them running off 2 different IDE cables
it use 2 work untill i broke my IDE cable and replaced it

any idea what the problem could b?

Have you replaced the ide cable that replaced the original one with? it could be faulty.

yeah i have tried it with six different IDE cables, it sucks

maybe try flashing your motherboards bios to the latest one?

Say your mobo is your spine, the bios would be your spinal cord. if its damaged or missing nothing works.

Give it a try, it wont hurt and may fix the problem. I have had bios's go crazy on me a few times.

Well for your sake im hoping its a botchy bios, atherwise my next guess is going to be hdd then mobo. Both are alot more expencive than a bios.

If it doesnt work try connecting the hdd to another machine and see if it does the same thing.
