Telstra are being right royal pricks over it actually, ive had about 5 reports of people wanting help finding a broadband provider, who have all told me the same thing, that telstra is telling them standard broadband is not available on their exchange (which is total BS, they are all on the same exchange as me) and that they should (usually told will have to) purchase a laptop and NextG wireless broadband card from them.

Otherwise, i have a mate who is on the network with his mobile phone, and it does work as a moden via that if you want, not sure what the data rates / speed is like. but phone wise, there is no real change that i can see, though, it apparently supports video calls, he doesnt know anyone else with the same service to test that out with.

Bah, why you would want to use Telstra as your ISP is beyond me.
I mean, the service and support I get from Netspace has been pretty good, whilst everyone I know who uses Telstra always has something bad to say.
