Yes I have been to Tasmania twice. What I like about Tassie is it's climate (bit like Germany) and the people seem to be very friendly

Yup, i think we are one of the friendliest states in australia.

Though, what i never under-stood is how we are one of the major tourist destinations in australia, yet none of us locals can find anything to do ...

So true, I hear people complain that theres nothing to do, well thats so not true. Tasmania has so many nice places, beaches, bush walks, bike tracks, like heaps of stuff, lol. Depends how interested you are in doing something.

Most people just look at the paid events, well there's not a lot of paid events compared to other places, mini golf, movies, ice skating, bowls, etc kinda limited.

anyways my 2cents

I think it is hard sometimes to really appreciate a place you when you live there anyway.
I always thought Germany was the most boring place on earth, but now I realise that I should (could) have done much more while I was still living there.
So now, when I go to Germany as a "tourist" it is much more exiting.

What I miss most in Australia (NSW) is the change of the seasons ...but I guess living in Tasmania will fix that!

Question, how can it rain on a sunny day. lol just a question i've been meaning to ask as it was sunny one day and it was raining heavy anyways

That's just the tropical weather coming in from the west lol funny as it may seem most of Tasmania doesn't even get bad weather, it's only the very west and south west that gets bad weather, we're sheilded by the mountain ranges that go all along Tas... So we just get the after affects of it, thus rain with sunshine!
