We all don't go to rosny and alot of them signs are put up by DM-LAN Supporters.

I've done nothing to you guys nor has Dark-Media as a whole.. where does this negativity come from.

was making a point about the posters that is, i was also assuming that the people who left CHS last year continued the legacy at the college (god knows they did at clarence after you guys left.. Sad ) and continued to brand everything. posters are posters, there are LAN-Ding ones up at clarence.

And there is no negativity.. we just have a different view on how a LAN should be.. in our case, thats friends + gaming for no other reason than gaming..

in the case of most other lans in the state, its the friends + gaming, but they all seem to think they have to organise comps to keep everything running.. way to much stress really.

LANs are for fun and games. comps are fun, but only if they dont get TOO competitive and take over the entire lan scene.

the actions of a person shouldn't make the group suffer, though if the owner did it then yes it would make the group suffer.

and what they did was wrong and i don't like it but what they did has been done and i do apologies for there actions though i think this has been sorted by Deejay as well.

Personally i like the fact that there are different lans about. Each lan is a different environment than the other one provides a more relaxed environment the other is more action everything is different people do things different than others i suppose.

So true firewater, its good to see different setups. What most people I know do though is stick to one lan, which is unfortunate because meeting new people and seeing different setups is defintely worth while. Relaxed enviroment, where u can walk in setup your computer/laptop and just join a server with at least a couple of people in it and stir up the others is what I see as a relaxing lan. Where you can trust the other lanners to be able to leave your computer gear there and not be concerned about things being taken etc.

Yah, it's important that you know all your gear is safe

Safety of gear i think is one of the most important things for me to want to go to a lan. If i dont think my gear will be safe i wont be there. I have left a lan after one hour when a mate next to me had some gear stolen.

LAN was great, I left early, unfortunately, but It was a great lan imo, Got in on time, tables were already set up.
There was a bit of a wait for a switch, but it wasn't that bad.

Good venue, plenty of accessibility to fast food places, and supermarkets.
Safety of gear was no problem, Great people there.
Only thing I disliked was the fact it was a sunday, I'd much rather go if it were a saturday.

I shall be coming to future events.

Yeah.. being there late on a Sunday is an issue (you miss some good tv, and i had to work the next day), it is usually a Saturday event, unfortunately the library was booked out on Saturdays for a long time.

There is rumor of a venue change.. one of the possible options may include net access.. so that would be great.

hopefully i should have some event photos up soon !!

Venue change would be nice, although I liked the venue that was there.
Net access would also be good, but It's not really nessacary if you're only gonna be there for the day.
