YAY.. first poster to review Very Happy

LAN went awesomely in a nut shell (well, in a big room actually, but it still went really well)

people were up and running easily, and we managed to get the minor issues sorted really easily (mainly forgotten mouse pads.. but we had some new comers so they didn't realise)

Once we all settled in, we played Counter Strike - Source (once again, chris's server held up and we have some stats, we are going to start working on getting these online for people to view soon !!!)
Moved onto Quake 3 a little later in the night, and found out that no one is truly consistent across games, Mizu and Possesed 3 year old, followed closely by Shifteh and Flirkann dominated the CS:S server, whilst when moved across to something with a different pace and strategy, Flrikann and Owen held their own against 3 of us and 5 nightmare level bots O.o (*cough* hacks *cough*)

So thanks to everyone for coming along and making this another great event !!

yea... cheaters Very Happy

Still, CS was good, and HALO was better. Arcade fun, and seeing as I hadn't played it in ages, I went well. I was surprised to see ppl put up such a good fight in it, cause every other time I've played it at an OWL, competition was lacking, so that was excellent to see Razz

Hi bit of a short review.

I was a bit concerned when the front doors were left unlocked and the lan had that visitor, they tried to steal my laptop.

Also picked up a file from the lan "netscan.exe" from the lan, not sure which computer as I was using IP's not names and symantec detected it as a possible virus.
http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2004-012015-5138-99&tabid=1 anyways I thought others might be aware just in case.

I didn't play any games, watched a few people play games. Yer yer, not good for a lan but I had to go home at 12, pick up the girl and take her home.

Saw AOE2, Counter-Strike, umm this other 3d game which I can't remember the name of and never seen before. Looked a bit like that rainbow game? lol sorry. Anyways I that was pretty good to see that many games being played for the such short time I was there.

So hopefully I can get into some games next lan. I was looking forward to playing Quake 1 ,2 or 3 at the lan for just something different.

$5 pizza's were great, next time I'll bring some extra cash for that and won't eat before hand.

All in all, seemed like friendly decent lan that I would go to again. Well Done guys.

Well the version at the lan must of been changed as the online one you can download isn't detected as a virus.
