Depends where you want to send the signal.
Direct? or All around? 180 degrees? Direct: there's heaps of antennas about that can get long distances Pringles Cans, Austar mesh, Can-tennas, etc Heaps out there 180/380 degrees Only one that I would suggest and thats the "slot antenna" do a google and get the info. But be aware that as the signal isn't direct it won't transmit as far but will cover an area extremly well. |

i should suggest you have a look at the australian laws on such things there chris..
i know its against the FCC laws to use the antennas in the first place, but that is negligable.. what you will get done for however, is having an overpowered antenna, cause thats something that is easily noticed. FYI - its known as a Galaxy star antenna.. not an "austar mesh" and there are 2 diff types.. you want the one with the (and i know this isnt technical) "little metal thingy" on the end.. the parabola grid on these isnt normally white, the ones with the white are reportedly more dificult to work with.. or is the other way around? eitherway, its do-able.. but you had better be willing to sink some cash into the project.. and if you want to be putting out a higher signal strength, there is a company that ships APs pre-modded to the higheste allowable output, and these are covered by warranty etc.. so i woudl suggest those, the APs are also capable of point to poing config.. i forget the name, freenet antennas or something.. /tAK |

a mate of mine has one of their APs.. his is just a standard one, but its a rather well built bit of kit, and the firmware is soooo nice. the web interface is nice and basic, no branding etc, and is easy to use. now this is new: Me 'n Me Mate Internet Extender Kits |

you cannot use a standard tv amplifier for this purpose.
The frequency is way way too high. The amps amplify the signal at about 120mhz, this is the rough level of the tv signal. the frequancy u need is 2400 mz. well outside the range of the amp. |
