Actually, fans have been saying there should be a Diablo 2 movie for ages.

If you had ever watched the intros to the game, then you would know that this is not all bad news, if they are smart, and make them in the FMV style of the game intro movies, and give the movie a fighting chance to tell the story itself without relying on the background of the games, it should actually be a movie well worth seeing.

As long as they don't get Michael Bay todirect it, hopefully it will be great.

$14.99 a month, yicks, I didn't think it was that expensive. Hopefully its better then ones like the mortal combat movies.

Yeah, wow is a bit pricey, but if an un-employed person such as MizU can fund the habit...

I have an account, and play sporadically, but its general only a few days a month, i wish they had a pay as you play option, 50 cents a day or something, you sign on and it charges you 50 cents for 24 hours.. end of the 24 hours, it charges you again..

Back on topic, Peter Jackson would probably do a good job of it. I can see it being an epic style story.

Warcraft has heaps of years of Lore, and this is set back to 100years before the events of WoW, which places it I think just after the initial war when the horde came through the Dark Portal.

Told from the point of view of the Alliance (Humans, lol gnomes, dwarfs, that sort of thing). Ppl apparently don't like movies where orcs, cow men and other such 'monsters' are the story focus.

This movie has been in the works for a while now, and a series of panels were shown at the recent BlizzCon.
It's being done by Legendary Pictures, who also did 300, Batman Begins and others. Director hasn't been decided upon.
Solid story, good director, no reason this won't be a good movie. Movies made from games have always been a bit shaky, but that said, Blizz has given the studio a large budget to make this one right. Oh, and it's live action. not full CGI. A shame really, considering their FMV work.
