Came across this site with some examples of Non-Newtonian fluid.

Basically, a non-newtonian fluid is a liquid that can behave somewhat like a solid under certain circumstances.
Gak or Corn Flower and Water is a great example, Speaking of which, i present to you the following 3 videos:
If you watch nothing else, I suggest you view the last 30 odd seconds of footage in the Third clip, Makes the stuff look completely alive.

Hopefully ill get a chance to waste some cornflower and check this sort of thing out on the weekend.
Gotta find an app that is capable of outputting sound based on Frequency via PC, as in one video i saw, they are using a really basic setup.

They put the "gak" into a CD spindle lid, and place it on top of the Breather hole for a standard PC sub woofer.
Then output sound at 50hz To get it to do the funky stuff.

Am hoping i can track down said app tomorrow, if you have anything that is capable of doing it, let me know.

I'm sure I've made this stuff when I was younger.

NCH Tone Generator should do the trick, could try different wave types too with it - saw tooth could be an interesting viewing experience.
