Hey guys,

I ended up on Mt. Wellington saturday arvo, and figured so long as i have my phone on me, i would take some photos.
here are some of the better ones, i ran into a few mates up there and they had proper digi cams, will see what they produced latter...

if there is a better image of me in there lot, ill consider posting it... i went up there in jeans and a shirt... no jumper/jacket.. people tend to look at you like your crazy when you do that.. hope you like them, i left them at full size... unfortuneately the fog rolled in before we got to the top, so i didnt get a good one of the view

pretty good shots for a camera phone... what model is it?

its an i-Mate JAMin... it has a 2MP camera on it.... i only took like 10 photos or so, these are the best of them.

the reason they usually come out poorly is a lack of light, in a dull area the camera cant stabilize anything.. thats why on a digital camera you should try to have the flash set right.

It was snowing on the mountain lastnight?

I haven't seen snow on there for a while, I'd been up there a few times in the last few weeks and saw none.

and yeah, i didnt notice any snow until you get right up near the top.
there wasnt much, so it must have only been a light fall... though, a few days ago it had come right down the mountain side.
it also looked as if most of it was just starting to melt.

i did notice a walking track up there that ive never seen before, so perhaps ill plan the trip next time, and take my actual camera, see whats worth taking a snap of.

iMate brought the XDA and re-badged it.(after some recent reading this doesn't seem to be totally true).
I had an XDA mini and one called an "iMate" in the shop and they were identical 100% but price difference. So I asked WTF? and was told imate was the XDA mini, must of been a particular model as the new ones out are totally different.

o2 sell the XDA brand of goods, imate sell the JAM brand.

Most of the above compnaies phones are made by Asian company HTC...

you have the HTC magician (also known as the imate JAM or O2 XDA II Mini)

i have the HTC Prophet (also know as the Imate JAMin, O2 XDA Neo, Dopod 818 pro)

then there is the O2 XDA Atom ... despite looks this was not a HTC device, it is from a company known as Quanta.. and was released by O2.
