watched eps 9 last night.

yeah, you notice that they hinted at a movie in this one?

i do hope they meant it... another stargate movie would be awesome. i think they should do so, and unleash the furlings as part of it.

Its been announced that they will be doing season 10 then finishing off the series with a movie. Doubtful that it will hit the cinemas though. More like a tv movie/straight to dvd type deal.

It will be sad to see it go but i think it is the right time, they are running out of storylines and villans.

As far as i know atlantis is staying yes.

yeah, i reckon they will be able to get a whole 10 seasons out of it aswell...

and lets face it, SG1 wont really be gone.. they have so much interaction with Atlantis these days, that they will make a lot of cameo's throughout future seasons.

Atlantis will carry on for a forth season but the creators are wanting to do it alone, not ride on sg1's cameo back. Sg1 will finish off with a movie to wrap things up which is due to start production very soon if not already and though it may hit cinemas in america chances are very slim that it will see the big screen down under. Unless we beg village to play the dvd for us

From memory the Quest part one (season 10 ep 10) will be the last we will see for a while as america being america and wanting to be different to everyone else splits their tv series in half. So it will be a few months before we se what happens next.

yeah, whoever made up the idea of a mid-season cliffhangers is a $#$#

the mid season cliff hanger is a prick of a thing... had i know it was coming, i would have waited to watch eps 10 of atlantis and sg1..

personally, im not so into sg1 atm.. they started out looking for the weapon capable of killing ascended beings.. fair enough, hide the damn thing..

but the bit that pisses me off, is that they are calling it the Sang'ral... anyone who has read the davinci code, or watched the film, knows that this is just another term for the "holy grail"

sg1 is the last show i ever thought would become a grail quest...

What else are they going to do with the story? i like where they are going with it, its not a grail quest. I think they are using the merlin storyline so they have somewhere to go with it. Its alot better than saying "Hey i found this scroll hidden in a library on some random planet that tells us where the weapon is... lets go!"

The new atlantis has a date set for march 7th. But Canada (Bless that awsome country!) is also plaing season 10 of sg1 and atlantis. And they dont follow the american trend of having a break mid season. Oooo i hear you say?

They catch up in january, episodes should hit the usual spots around then

all of my eps have come from canada anyways.. at least, to my knowledge, as canada are ahead of america.

and you should know, that merlin and the holy grail were never part of the same legend..
as such, they could have kept calling it "merlins weapon" and had the samne damn effect.
